Karma, Purpose, and the Path to Freedom: Why We’re Here
Why Do Some People Seem to Have It All?
Do you ever wonder why some people seem to live such good lives while others struggle?
Why do certain people—sometimes even those who don’t seem particularly kind—appear to have it all: happiness, health, success...
While others are born into suffering, disability, or never even get the chance to be born?
What did they do to deserve that?
The Answer I Found: Karma
For me, the answer lies in karma.
I deeply believe we are responsible for everything happening in our lives.
At first, that idea can feel overwhelming or even unfair.
But with that realization comes something empowering:
If we are responsible, then we also have the power to change.
We have the power to shape our lives, starting now.
Everything Begins With Us
Our purpose in this life is to become enlightened—not just for our own growth, but so we can uplift others.
Like the Buddha, we can become a guide and light for those still finding their way.
That, in itself, is a beautiful merit.
Past Lives and Present Power
Through deep meditation, we may sometimes experience past life regression—glimpses of who we once were.
But no matter what the past held, the most important time is the present.
The present is all we truly have control over.
That’s why it matters to live mindfully and morally.
Building Merit and Creating Good Karma
In Buddhism, we call this building merits.
The quality of life we live now is the result of past karma—perhaps from another lifetime.
But here’s the good news:
We can still create good karma now. We can still shift our future.
Even when life feels unfair or painful, keep doing what’s right.
Do it so consistently that kindness becomes your nature.
That even in your unconscious moments, your heart still chooses goodness.
Why We Keep Being Reborn
We are born again and again because each lifetime is a sacred opportunity—a chance to become enlightened.
And when we begin to live in alignment with truth…
-
When we build merit,
-
When we live with awareness,
-
When we embrace who we are with love...
We no longer need to come back.
We Break the Cycle. We Become Free.
And in that freedom, we don’t just liberate ourselves.
We become a light for others.
A source of inspiration for those still walking the path.
